WARM WEATHER SHIPPING
During warm weather, not all delivery options are always available. Based on your shipping zip code in checkout, your options will be automatically populated based on FedEx requirements. Due to the perishable nature of our cheese, during the months of mid-April to mid-November we ship only Expedited 2-day Monday – Tuesday to most of the geographic United States. We package your order in polyurethane insulated boxes with ice packs to protect your cheese during its transit.
All year round, some regions including areas of California, parts of the southwest, east coast and Florida addresses will require these shipping restrictions due to warm weather. We reserve the right to upgrade packaging materials and shipping methods at extra costs to meet our shipping policy.
WINTER MONTHS SHIPPING
During cooler months, Ground and Expedited 2 Day shipping is available Monday-Tuesday. See "Warm Weather Shipping Rules" for warm weather months restrictions.
HOW ORDERS ARE SHIPPED
FedEx will deliver your order. After shipments have left the Springside Cheese facility and are in the FedEx ownership, Springside Cheese is no longer liable for FedEx delivery timing. Please check your order tracking with the tracking number provided in your confirmation email.
During checkout, you will see available delivery options for every ship to address you specify, and an estimate of shipping costs. Since we are shipping perishable products, we cannot ship products to arrive on non-business days. If we determine that, based on your selected shipping method, we cannot ship your package to arrive before the weekend, we will delay your order until the following Monday to ensure your perishable products will not spend time sitting in a warm warehouse over the weekend. Conditions such as extreme heat or blizzard warnings will be taken into consideration when the final shipping method is to be determined and what packaging materials are used to ship the product.
Orders placed after 3 PM MST Monday will be processed the following Monday.
STANDARD GROUND SHIPPING (2-5 business days) - Colorado destinations only
Orders are shipped Monday through Tuesday. Due to the perishable nature of cheese, only some locations are eligible for Standard Ground Shipping during the months of Mid-April to Mid-November. Standard Ground Shipping orders typically arrive in 2-5 business days. See "Warm Weather Shipping Rules" for warm weather months.
EXPEDITED 2 DAY SHIPPING - All other states outside of Colorado
Orders are shipped Monday through Tuesday. See "Warm Weather Shipping Rules" for warm weather months.
CHEESE CONDITION DURING AND AFTER DELIVERY
It's normal for cheese to warm a bit in transit, even when traveling with an ice pack. Upon arrival, the ice pack will have thawed, but the cheese should still feel cool to the touch. Refrigerate right away.
Springside Cheese currently does not ship outside of the United States.
SHIPPING TO P.O. BOXES
Regretfully, we cannot ship to P.O. boxes. FedEx can ship to UPS or virtual boxes that aren't at a USPS office. Whatever address is on file with your card issuing bank should be used during checkout. This can be a P.O. Box.
HOTEL OR HOSPITAL DELIVERIES
When shipping to a hotel or hospital, please verify discharge/checkout times and make necessary arrangements with the delivery location to ensure delivery to recipient's room. Springside Cheese is not responsible for packages misdirect after delivery.
Once your order ships, you will receive confirmation with a FedEx tracking number. Circumstances beyond our control make it impossible to guarantee delivery dates. To manage or track your shipment with FedEx, please visit the Fedex website.
Once in the possession of the shipping provider, Springside Cheese cannot take responsibility for any issues encountered during transit. Delays caused by forces outside of the control of the shipping providers, i.e.. weather, are not normally covered and will be at the discretion of Springside Cheese.
Shipments returned due to an incorrect shipping address will require an additional charge for reshipment. We are not responsible for delays in delivery times due to incorrect or incomplete addresses. Shipping charges will not be refunded for late deliveries if the business is closed or not available to receive the package when delivered.
Due to the delicate nature of our cheese, under warm weather conditions we ship with ice packs, which protect the cheese from heat damage until it is delivered. The life span of ice packs is limited, please accept all shipments and store in a cool, dry place. However, if shipments are refused, we cannot guarantee that the cheese will not be damaged. If you find a package was damaged while in transit, communicate the damage to the FedEx representative. We will settle any damage disputes with our carriers.
SHIPPING ITEMS NOT PURCHASED AT SPRINGSIDE CHEESE
We no longer ship items including platters or other breakables not purchased directly at Springside Cheese.
RETURNS, DAMAGES & CLAIMS
It is the policy of Springside Cheese Corp to ship our product in a manner that we feel will get it to its destination in a good and safe condition. We are not responsible for damage due to weather conditions or for any intentional or unintentional actions or neglect by FedEx or the receiver. Should items arrive damaged, it is the responsibility of the customer to file a claim directly with FedEx.
UPDATE: LOCAL DELIVERY IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE
This delivery policy takes effect on the date that your order is placed with Springside Cheese Corp. This policy is applicable in Pueblo, CO only and not Springside Cheese's location in Oconto Falls, WI.
Items offered on our website and in our retail store are only available for delivery to addresses in Pueblo, CO 81001, 81003, 81004, 81005, 81006, 81007, and 81008.
